October 15 Smashing Pumpkins: Tonight, Tonight
这首歌收录于1995年的超长经典之作《Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness》。

Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave, without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel
Believe, believe in me, believe
That life can change, that you're not stuck in vain
We're not the same, we're different tonight Tonight, so bright, tonight And you know you're never sure But you're sure you could be right If you held yourself up to the light
And the embers never fade in your city by the lake The place where you were born Believe, believe in me, believe In the resolute urgency of now And if you believe there's not a chance, tonight Tonight, so bright, tonight We'll crucify the incinsere, tonight We'll make things right we'll feel it all, tonight We'll find a way to offer up the night, tonight The indescribable moments of your life, tonight The impossible is possible, tonight Believe in me as I believe in you, tonight August 27 Dire Straits, Down to the Waterline Dire Straits是这样一支乐队,名头响,卖得亦极好,在摇滚圈却褒贬不一。
第一次听Dire Straits应是在1998年,Album:Sultans of Swing,1978。 Down to the Waterline胜在意境,以听觉营造电影质感,此曲独得;词亦极佳,海港,雾号,妓女,热恋男女,褴褛青春;不似国人最熟的Brothers in Arms那般动听,反有质朴的动人之处。
Sultans of Swing,On Every Street,Romeo and Juliet,Mark的个人专辑Ragpicker's Dream,Six Blade Knife等等,不一一介绍了,用点对点搜,还算容易找,老外歌迷人数众多。
还是来听听Down to the Waterline,附歌词。
Down to the Waterline
From: Sultans of Swing, 1978
Sweet surrender on the quayside You remember we used to run and hide In the shadow of the cargoes I take you one at a time And we're counting all the numbers down to the waterline Near misses on the dogleap stairways French kisses in the darkened doorways A foghorn blowing out wild and cold A policeman shines a light upon my shoulder Up comes a coaster fast and silent in the night Over my shoulder all you can see are the pilot lights No money in our jackets and our jeans are torn Your hands are cold but your lips are warm She can see him on the jetty where they used to go She can feel him in the places where the sailors go When she's walking by the river and the railway line She can still hear him whisper Let's go down to the waterline August 17 Have I Told You Lately

Have I told you lately that I love you July 28 Patti Smith_Dancing Barefoot
Dancing Barefoot

She is benediction
She is addicted to thee She is the root connection She is connecting with he Here I go and I don't know why I fell so ceaselessly Could it be he's taking over me I'm dancing barefoot Headin' for a spin Some strange music draws me in Makes me come on like some heroine She is sublimation She is the essence of thee She is concentrating on he Who is chosen by she Here I go and I don't know why I spin so ceaselessly Could it be he's taking over me I'm dancing barefoot Headin' for a spin Some strange music draws me in Makes me come on like some heroine She is recreation She intoxicated by thee She has the slow sensation that He is levitating with she Here I go and I don't know why I spin so ceaselessly 'Til I lose my sense of gravity I'm dancing barefoot Headin' for a spin Some strange music draws me in Makes me come on like some heroine Oh, God I fell for you Oh, God I fell for you... The plot of our life sweats in the dark like a face The mystery of childbirth Of childhood itself Grave visitations What is it that calls to us? Why must we pray screaming? Why must not death be redefined? We shut our eyes we stretch out our arms And whirl on a pane of glass An affixation A fix on anything the line of life The limb of a tree The hands of he and the promise That she is blessed among women 1959

Listen to my story
Got two tales to tell One of fallen glory One of vanity The world's roof was raging But we were looking fine 'Cause we built that thing and it grew wings In 1959 Wisdom was a teapot Pouring from above Desolation angels Served it up with Love Igniting strife like every form of light Then moved by bold design Slid in that thing and it grew wings In 1959 It was blood Shining in the sun First Freedom Speeding the American claim Freedom ... China was the tempest And madness overflowed The Lama was a young man And he watched his world in flames Taking glory down by the edge of clouds It was a crying shame Another lost horizon Tibet the fallen star Wisdom and compassion crushed In the land of Shangri-La But in the land of the Impala, honey, well We were lookin' fine 'Cause we built that thing and it grew wings In 1959 'Cause we built that thing and it grew wings In 1959 It was the best of times It was the worst of times In 1959 1959...
